Easy pepperoni pizza

After Curtis was born, a friend came for a visit and brought all the ingredients to make pizza with our kiddos. I liked it so much ever since, I like to keep these simple ingredients on hand. If you follow us on Instagram, you might have noticed that on Fridays we have for habit to eat fries. I might start making pizza on that day too!

I like to cook from scratch but in the season I’m in, with a baby, I choose to purchase all the ingredients to make our pizza. Even tho making pizza dough is super easy. I still find I have a certain control of what we eat compare to a store bought pizza. The taste is simply not comparable! Our local pizzeria make amazing pizza, we like to eat it on days we are busy doing a project and have no time to cook that night.

Here's some of my thoughts on the topping I chose.

The pizza dough I used comes frozen and there is 2 dough balls per packages. It only took 3 hours to thaw. You can also leave the package in the fridge to thaw for 12-24 hours.

The Classico brand taste like homemade.

I recently found the Si La pepperoni brand. They are so delicious! The slices are nice and thin, they aren’t full of fat like other brands like Ziggy’s or Pillers. The texture is soft and the they are mild.

We used Mozzarella cheese for the toppings.

How to make the pizza:

  • Preheat the oven to @350

  • Follow the instructions on the package on how to thaw the pizza dough.

  • Add a parchment paper to your cookie sheet. If using a pizza stone, simply rub a little bit of olive oil to it.

  • Add a little bit of flour to your counter. With a rolling pin, shape the dough to fit your pan.

  • With the use of a spoon spread some pizza sauce on top.

  • Add a layer of cheese then the pepperoni. ( all other toppings if you want ex: bacon, olives, onions, peppers, mushrooms etc.)

  • Bake for 20 minutes.

  • Set your oven to broil.

  • Broil your pizza for 2 minute

  • Enjoy!
